The IGV range of inert gas vents are designed specifically for over-pressure venting associated with Inert gas high pressure Fire Suppression Systems.
The vents can also provide protection against under-pressure venting with Synthetic gases as they have the unique feature of having reversible flanges allow installers to alter the flow configuration on site and keep the units housed within the wall and avoiding protrusions from the wall.

The Vents are offered in a number of standard sizes for installation in both internal and external walls with the availability of bespoke sizes in 100mm increments. Providing market leading performance across a range of pressures which has been validated by BSRIA under laboratory conditions to recognised standards. The vents are designed remain closed below opening 70Pa to allow room integrity testing to be carried out with ease. The units are also fully open at 95Pa giving you the best possible protection for your building.

The IGV has been successfully tested at EXOVA Warrington Fire following the performance test criteria of BS EN 1364-1, achieving 4 hours fire resistance.
The IGV also carries EW120 Fire Resistance Classification to BS EN 13501-2.

The IGV is the first Inert Gas Pressure Relief Vent in the world that has been certified to EWCL5.

Vent Model 0303 and upwards fits into an internal wall thickness of 125 to 205mm with external walls 200 to 220mm.
Models 0501 & 0301 external and internal wall depths are 125mm to 205mm.
Deeper walls can be accommodated with the use of our easy fit wall liner extension sleeves. For doors and thin walls the use of our C-frame Kit can be utilised.

Buildings are most commonly designed to withstand internal pressures of between 250 to 500Pa, though this can vary depending on the type of construction. The use of correctly sized and functioning pressure relief vents will protect such building structures from damage.

Apreco inert gas vents are of ‘counter-weighted’ design to prevent the risks of over and under pressurisation resulting from the use of gas fire suppression systems. The Apreco range of pressure relief vents have been successfully tested to EN1364-1 criteria to provide a 4-hour fire resistance rating.

Specifically developed for these applications, the range can be used alongside a wide range of gas fire suppression systems to prevent structural damage and risk to personnel.

Maximum room pressure is controlled by the vents opening to allow air to escape, then closing when discharge is complete. This maintains the dilution of the air, so preventing re-ignition.

The Wall Liner is used to line the cavity produced in the substrate and with flanges that match that of the IGV Vent to produce a clean professional looking installation.

Cover Grille

Cover Grille The Cover Grille(s) can be fitted directly to both to the IGV Vent and Wall Liner through the provided fixing holes. This helps to protect and hide the IGV Vent while not impeding on the Free Vent Area.

Extension Sleeve

Ext SleeveThe Extension Sleeve allows the IGV Vent to be installed in walls deeper then 205mm (External 220mm). Each Sleeve increases the depth of the installation by upto a maximum of 75mm.
The Sleeve simply clips onto the back of the Wall Liner or Weather Louvre allowing for easy installation.

C-Frame Kit

C-frameThe C-Frame Kit allows the IGV Vent to be installed in narrow walls less then 125mm (External 200mm). Each C-Frame Kit decreases the wall depth requirement of the installation by 110mm.

Weather Louvre / Weather Cowl

Weather LouvreAprecos High Free Vent Area (FVA) Weather Louvre used on external installations offers a large 65% FVA while ensuring the IGV Vent is protected from the outside elements.(The Louvre is used on models IGV-0303 upwards).
Weather Cowl The Weather Cowl (used on IGV-0301 and IGV-0501 ONLY) ensures the IGV Vent is protected from the outside elements while not impeding the FVA performance.
